Last updated 14 October 2026. Aurafy is a Digital Sherpa product.
What we collect
When you create a content series: your email, artist name, song title, and optionally genre, release date, country, the story behind the song, and the files you upload (audio, artwork, lyrics, video clips). When you join the newsletter: your email and role.
Why
We use your email to deliver your content series and to contact you about it (for example, if something goes wrong). The newsletter uses a separate checkbox: "Send me the Aurafy newsletter. Untick to opt out." For most visitors it starts ticked, so you can opt out by unticking it before you submit. If you are in the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland (or we can't tell where you are), it starts unticked and you only get the newsletter if you tick it yourself. We work out your country from your connection's approximate location. For each signup we record the time, the exact wording, the page, your approximate country and whether the box started ticked or unticked.
Your lyrics, story and artwork are processed by an AI model through Vercel AI Gateway to generate your series. We do not sell your data or use your unreleased music for anything other than making your series.
Where it is stored
Contact details are kept in private storage on Vercel that only Digital Sherpa administrators can access. Uploaded files are stored on Vercel Blob at unguessable links so your results page can show them.
Your rights
Every newsletter includes a one-click unsubscribe link (and supports one-click unsubscribe in your email app). You can also unsubscribe by contacting us. We use Resend to manage the mailing list. You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data. Under the Australian Spam Act 2003 and the GDPR, every marketing email will identify us and include a working unsubscribe link.
